So you want to have an epic travel experience and connect with another culture???

...Well if you are traveling solo and don’t know any locals, you don’t speak the language, you are a bit shy and you don’t have a rad travel company like See The World in Color to make the connections for you, there is still a great way to make that local connection without putting yourself in any danger or compromising situations. VOLUNTEER!!

...In just about every destination you travel to there are some great organizations that are doing some really cool things! Whether you want to volunteer at a school, orphanage medical clinic or help rescue sea turtles, there is something out there for everyone and most organizations are super happy to have the extra help.

....Volunteering is one of the best ways to get a local view on a culture and country. You will meet some of the most interesting people on the planet and you will walk away with a better understanding of how locals live and the issues that they face each day.

...There is also a lot of flexibility when volunteering while traveling. You could volunteer for a day, a week or even for a year if you find your passion! I have even seen many volunteers get hired by organizations when the volunteer is a rock star and brings a lot to the team!

...What makes volunteering even sweeter is that most of the time an organization will exchange accommodations and meals for your efforts. This goes a long way when you are traveling on a budget. It is easy to see that the plusses outweigh the minuses big time when you choose to volunteer during your travels.

....If you are traveling and thinking about volunteering your time, feel free to reach out to info@seetheworldincolor.com and we can point you in the right direction to some of our favorite organizations doing amazing work all over the world!

Cheers!
